Roan Lucas
Comedy Writer | Game Designer | Storyteller
Roan Lucas is an award-winning Writer and Game Designer based in New York City. He hopes to write comedy that can change the world, or at least give people a sensible chuckle.
Roan is a recent NYU Tisch Graduate with a Major in Dramatic Writing and a Minor in Game Design. He is a Kennedy Center VSA Playwright Discovery Program Winner, a Horizon Theatre Young Playwrights Festival Participant, and was the winner of the 2019 Georgia Thescon Best Playwright Award. He’s had the absolute pleasure of interning at Adult Swim, American High, Jean Doumanian Productions, and World Builder Entertainment, and is currently working as a Writer’s Assistant at Brainzap Studios. When he’s not manically hunched over his computer with nothing but three hours of sleep, an open Final Draft document, and a dream, he teaches chess to kids.
Roan’s biggest dream is to write for a somewhat popular sitcom that runs for a modest two seasons. His second biggest dream is to create the first ever “Western Persona-like Turn-based Role-playing Strategy Game” (if you get it, you get it). His third biggest dream is to own a cat that can also help pay the rent.
